Our Story: Opening Black Swan Venue
Darrian and Dorcas Crumbley, both proud Lakeland natives, have always held a deep passion for community and hospitality. After growing up in this vibrant city, they dreamed of creating a space that would serve as a platform for others to shine. Their journey began over eight years ago when they launched their full-service catering company headquartered in Lakeland, specializing in event and corporate catering, as well as government and military food service. Over time, they expanded their hospitality footprint by running a popular café inside the Polk County Courthouse, serving countless professionals and locals.
However, their vision didn't stop there. They knew they wanted to culminate their hospitality experience with something that truly embodied the heart of their city. That's when the idea of Black Swan Venue was born—a space designed to foster business growth, encourage civic and community gatherings, and host unforgettable celebrations.
